kyle and i decided to break up

and for those of you who didn't know, yeah we were back together hehe. but for now we're just friends. things were just not working out like we wanted and we needed to focus on ourselves rather than our relationship at this point in our lives.

this is a fine example of how this site should be used. feel free to make any announcements, minor or major that you would like to share. :)

Dx: FP r/o peds, r/o obgyn

so psych is out for me lol...which leaves obgyn and peds left for choices of a specialty....which means i'm probably gonna do FP unless obgyn or peds is AWESOME. I highly doubt that, plus i can get either one in an FP setting. :)

there's no way i could do psych for two major reasons. 1. i would miss medicine way too much, which i'm going through withdrawal now and 2. i internalize WAY too much and it just makes me depressed. i just feel too much i guess. like i can understand/accept why someone can have hypertension or heart disease or diabetes and why they would possibly be sick from that, but i can't accept people being molested and as a result have severe psychological problems/drug problems/behavioral problems....etc etc. it just makes me sad/mad. and i WANT to help, but i think i'd drown in it. just my 2 cents on psych. sorry katie, i just canna do it.

hope everyone is doing well. here's my heads up for psych:

I'm with Dr. Tran at ARMC. Quiet, soft spoken man who will teach you and ask you questions and make you work(i write 5 notes a day max and he makes you go w/ him on call til 9pm---triage is fun tho so it's ok).
Matt Young is w/ Dr. Lawrence, he has it pretty easy.
Heard Dr. Umwalla is cool and laid back, not much work.
It's all inpatient. All the patients are there on a hold for either danger to self, danger to others or grave disability. Patients come and go alot so you have a continuous flow of new patients.

if anyone even goes to this site anymore...

i'm thinking of closing the site down. i'll keep it up for one more month. if there are no posts, then i'm shutting it down.
